Jeff Kemp
|
Jeff Kemp is a champion for men, marriages and teamwork. He is a speaker, teamwork trainer and soul coach to CEOs and leaders. After playing quarterback at Dartmouth, Jeff joined the NFL as an undrafted free agent. He and his dad, the late Congressman Jack Kemp, became the first of only six sets of NFL father-son quarterbacks. Growing up, Jeff was surrounded by football, politics and national leaders. Jeff quarterbacked 11 seasons for the Rams, Forty-Niners, Seahawks and Eagles. In the off seasons he earned his MBA, coached his sons’ youth teams and campaigned for his dad’s presidential nomination.
Jeff’s football career was a rollercoaster from fourth string to first string, from the bench to the playoffs and from winning to getting traded. He’s beaten the blitz on Monday Night Football and been cut midseason as a starting QB. Those epic highs, lows and team experiences led to a mission of serving others, building teamwork and helping people from all walks of life overcome adversity. Instead of drawing his identity from professional football, Jeff left the NFL with his identity rooted in his relationship with God. With a passion for engaged fatherhood and strong marriages, he founded and led Stronger Families in the Pacific Northwest for 18 years. He loves to impart vision, having spoken for over 1,300 audiences, including the Billy Graham Crusade, governor’s prayer breakfasts, as well as businesses and men’s conferences. From 2012 to 2017, Jeff served as a V.P. and Catalyst for Helping Others at FamilyLife. He's a Fatherhood Ambassador for The Fatherhood CoMission. Jeff’s mission at JeffKempTeam partners with organizations, churches and CEOs to build good men, strong marriages and great teams. In 2015, he authored “Facing the Blitz- Three Strategies for Turning Trials into Triumphs,” to be followed by "Real Good Man". Early in his NFL career, Jeff married Stacy. Their great joy is family - four married sons and three grandchildren. The Kemps enjoy mentoring young couples, snow skiing, playing tennis and speaking for FamilyLife's Weekend to Remember. |
